Delivery Information

Express4Flowers offers a first-class flowers and gift delivery service 7 days a week (Monday-Sunday), apart from bank holidays. Except where stated, orders are delivered the next working day (excluding Sundays and public holidays). We pride ourselves on our exceptional attention to detail, from our impeccable packaging and presentation to our first-class delivery service, ensuring your gift arrives on time and in its optimum condition.

You can place an order for delivery, either online or through our Customer Services team (available 24/7), on any date in the future, except  public holidays (where orders will be delivered the next working day). Advance orders will be stored in our system until the required date.

Unless otherwise requested, all products are dispatched via the Royal Mail’s 1st Class Recorded Delivery service and DPD (further information can be found below). Please allow 1-2 working days for delivery or select the Special Delivery option for guaranteed next-day delivery, where available. If you require a specific time slot, an additional charge will apply.  Please submit your order before the specified cut-off time. Your item will then be sent by Royal Mail Next-day Tracked Delivery or DPD Guaranteed Next-day delivery (available Monday–Sunday), guaranteeing your order is delivered on your chosen day.

When placing your order, please ensure that you include the recipient’s full address, including an accurate postcode and telephone number, together with your daytime contact telephone number or email address so that we can notify you in the event of any delivery issues. If no signature is required on delivery, you can request at the time of ordering that your parcel is left with a neighbour or in an alternative safe place should you be out. (We will not be held responsible for items that are not delivered or are delayed due to incorrect details).

Upon receipt of your order, we will email you an update regarding the shipment of your item, along with the courier’s tracking ID number, through which you can check the delivery status of your order. We will send you a subsequent email confirming delivery once your order has been successfully delivered. If your delivery needs to be signed for, please make sure that someone will be at the delivery address on the specified day.

Please check that your order is in perfect condition on delivery.

Adhering to our high standards, our couriers always take very special care regarding the handling of our products during delivery to ensure that they are kept intact and in tip-top condition. Courier-delivered items are usually sent via FedEx.

For specific delivery information relating to our flowers please see below.

Delivery Times

Whilst we do our utmost to ensure deliveries are made on the requested date, please note that such dates serve as estimates only and cannot be guaranteed in any way.

Orders sent via courier/postal services cannot be delivered at specific times but will be delivered during the working day (usually 8am-8pm Monday-Friday and 8am-1pm on Saturdays). The Royal Mail is unable to deliver on Sundays or bank holidays. We are unable to provide you estimated time of arrival of your parcels as we do not control the Royal Mail or UK Mail’s delivery schedules.

Delivery Options

1st Class Recorded Delivery

For items dispatched via the Royal Mail’s 1st Class Recorded Delivery service, deliveries are fully trackable through the Royal Mail’s Tracking service and usually arrive between 8am–6pm. Please note that whilst the Royal Mail delivers 90% of 1st Class post the next day, we cannot guarantee that your item will arrive on a specific date and Express4Flowers cannot, therefore, take responsibility for late delivery of gifts sent by 1st Class post. For a guaranteed delivery date, please select the Special Delivery option (see below).

Special Delivery

If you select the ‘special’ delivery option, your gift will be sent by the Royal Mail’s Special Delivery Guaranteed service or Courier Next Day Guaranteed Delivery service (available Monday-Sunday) guaranteeing delivery before your chosen time. A signature will be required at the delivery address, otherwise a delivery attempt card will be left, detailing instructions on how to arrange redelivery or collection from the local sorting office (please note that redelivery on the same day may not be possible).

If a delivery attempt has not been made by your chosen time on the specified day, please see our Terms & Conditions  page regarding refunds.

Delivery Costs

Except where stated, standard delivery is next-day delivery and a charge of £4.99 for Monday-Friday deliveries and £8.98 for deliveries on Saturdays or Sundays  is applicable within the UK and mainland Scotland. Please note that at certain times of the year these prices can vary. If you request delivery to remote areas which are not usually covered by Express4Flowers, you will be advised of any additional charges as soon as possible upon receipt of your order.

Delivery Areas

We deliver to any postal address in the UK, covering all of England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands (please allow extra time for delivery), the Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland and all of the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Internationally, we deliver to the USA, Canada, Europe, Pakistan and the UAE. For deliveries overseas, orders must be received at least three days prior to the delivery date. International deliveries are at the customer’s own risk and are priced depending on destination and weight. Please contact our international Customer Services team for a price.

For a detailed UK map of the areas that we deliver to, including delivery times, please see our Delivery Areas page.

Courier-delivered items are usually sent via DPD/FedEx, although certain areas of the UK (including the following postcodes) may be covered by an alternative service, usually Royal Mail and may take 4 - 5 working days for delivery. Express4Flowers reserves the right to impose a surcharge retrospectively for any balance arising from the selection of an incorrect delivery zone, e.g. UK Mainland option selected for a Scottish Highlands or UK Offshore destination. If the customer is in any doubt as to the correct delivery option for their chosen destination then it is their responsibility to contact Express4Flowers prior to placement of the order.

Please note additional Delviery charges may be applicable to the following Post codes Below:

BT, ZE, AB, FK, HS, IV, KA, KW, KY, PA, PH, IM, PO, JE, GY, SA, TR.

Delivery to Hospitals

We can deliver many of our gifts to hospitals. Parcels are usually left in the hospital’s parcel or post room as patients are unable to receive deliveries direct. Since hospital procedures can vary, we advise you request a staff nurse to collect your parcel on behalf of its intended recipient. Please make sure you add the department, ward or room number, along with a contact number for the ward.

Delivery to Businesses, Military Addresses, Schools & Universities

Deliveries to large businesses, military addresses, schools, universities & student accommodation are usually made to the main reception or post/mailing room prior to internal distribution. We recommend that orders to such locations are requested for delivery on a weekday and not a Saturday. In some cases, delivery to a named person is not always possible. Where relevant, please include the company’s name, block, floor and an office contact number. Due to the nature of some of our products, such as flowers, in the event that the recipient is not available, we will deliver the order to the reception of such locations, where possible. We recommend that orders to such locations are requested for delivery on a weekday and not a Saturday.

Signing for Your Delivery / Attempted Delivery

If a signature is required, please make sure someone will be at the delivery address on the specified day to sign for your item. Should no-one be present at the recipient’s address at the time of delivery, unless an alternative arrangement was stated at the time of ordering, such as leaving your item with a neighbour or an alternative safe place, a delivery attempt card will be left, detailing instructions on how to arrange redelivery or collection from the local sorting office. For food items and perishable products, in the event that the recipient is not present on delivery, we will contact the recipient and make alternative delivery arrangements, for example delivering the item to a next-door neighbour, and will leave a delivery message card for the intended recipient with the relevant details.

The signature of any person authorised to accept the delivery on behalf of the recipient shall be accepted as proof of delivery. Express4Flowers will consider the order delivered and we will not accept any liability of the subsequent non-delivery of your item.

Flowers are perishable and every effort is made to deliver your order on the date requested.

For further information, including refunds for late or non-delivery of items, please see our Terms & Conditions.
